MCCl’s health and wellbeing programs support you to maintain independence, share your culture and language with others, participate in the community, and meet regularly with friends.
MCCI’s Social Groups meet regularly so you can catch up with friends, share your culture and language or learn about others. Held at locations across the Illawarra and ACT/Queanbeyan regions the groups provide a variety of lifestyle, health and wellbeing activities and nutritious food. Door to door transport is available for those who need it.
Outings and activities
MCCI runs a range of outings each month to places of interest, events or other activities.
The Multicultural Men’s Shed in Coniston provides a place for men to come together and complete personal or group projects in wood or steel.
The shed has a great range of woodworking tools and machines as well as a welder and a small milling machine. Projects are supported by skilled tradespeople who will support you with training, and making sure everything is done safely.
You ring, we deliver. MCCI provides meals delivered to your door. We have options of fresh meals in the ACT, and frozen or hot meals in the Illawarra.
Meals can be ordered by calling our office between 9am and 5pm Monday to Friday. Frozen meals can also be ordered online be filling out the form available here.

“I love it. It’s the next best thing to me mum’s cooking”, says Ivan who is Australian of Macedonian descent. He receives fresh hot meals from MCCI’s multicultural kitchen five days a week.
The Friendship Program links community volunteers with older people who live alone or in residential aged care facilities and would like to reconnect with their language or culture, or would appreciate an extra visitor.
