Tune in to your local ethnic radio station and receive information in your own language about ageing well, healthy living and the Aged Care System.
“We are very excited to be joining Speak My Language. It’s a great initiative and we look forward to making the Aged Care System more accessible”, says Gordana Spirovska, MCCI’s Sector Support and Development Officer, who will deliver the program in Serbian.
Last week the Minister for Aged Care, Ken Wyatt AM, launched the language initiative at Parliament House, Canberra. The program will broadcast in more than 25 languages on 80 ethnic radio stations across Australia. We are proud to be part of the initiative with MCCI’s Gordana Spirovska and Patricia Laranjeira delivering the program in Serbian and Portuguese respectively (right on photo, together with MCCI’s Anica). Bertha Quiros from MCCI member the Spanish & Latinamerican Community Organisation (SALCO) (left on photo) is delivering the program in Spanish.
