The magical food secrets are out! The 2018 Multicultural Intergenerational Cook-Off Recipe Book with delicious Lebanese, Macedonian, Portuguese, Hungarian, Greek and Turkish-Cypriot dishes was launched at MCCI's Harmony Day Morning Tea recently.
MCCI’s Cook-Off program started in 2013 with the aim of connecting young people and seniors by sharing stories, experiences and passion for cooking. The recipes are the result of multicultural Cook-Off teams of MCCI Seniors and Year 9 students at Lake Illawarra High School who came together to learn about different cultures and food.
“Cook-Off enables generations from different cultural backgrounds to come together and in a fun and safe space share stories and their passion for food. It’s a celebration of diversity and cooperation", says Allyson Pazos, MCCI's Youth & Community Manager.
