About Us

The Multicultural Communities Council of Illawarra is a non-profit organisation that supports people and communities from culturally and linguistically (CALD) diverse backgrounds in the Wollongong, Shellharbour, Kiama and Shoalhaven Local Government Areas. MCCI delivers a range of services across NSW and the ACT, including aged care, youth development programs, stakeholder engagement, community capacity building, volunteering and training services.

With staff and volunteers from 40 different ethnic backgrounds and 21 languages spoken, MCCI is one of the most culturally diverse workplaces in Illawarra; so well illustrated by Gordana, Anica and Patricia in this U & Me short film by Why Documentaries and MCCI.
