Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has announced the date for a referendum to recognise Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Peoples in Australia’s constitution, and to establish a First Nations Voice to Parliament. It will be held on Saturday 14 October and voting is compulsory for Australian citizens. “The Uluru Statement is a generous invitation to all Australians to learn more about First Nations experiences and MCCI is a proud signatory to the Joint Resolution of Multicultural Community Organisations in support of a First Nations Voice referendum. • be an Australian citizen, or eligible British subject,
• be aged 18 years and over, and
• have lived at your address for at least one month.
