Free event for health care professionals

Advance care planning is about planning for future health care and make values and preferences known if you can no longer speak for yourself. People often face complex and difficult decisions to make, which may be further complicated for cultural reasons. Join our panel of experts to explore the role of health professionals in advance care planning and how to better support people from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds through the process in a culturally sensitive way.

This free session is delivered by Selen Akinci, Strategic Partnerships Manager NSW &ACT at PICAC/MCCI and Helena Rodi, National Project Manager, Education, Advance Care Planning Australia.

Partners in Culturally Appropriate Care (PICAC) NSW & ACT is part of the nationwide PICAC Alliance which is funded by the Australian Government to support aged care service providers to deliver care that meets the needs of culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) people. PICAC NSW & ACT is auspiced by the Multicultural Communities Council of Illawarra (MCCI).
