This training is designed for any individual who is interested in learning about culturally inclusive service delivery. It will assist participants to:
- develop strategies to enhance cultural competence and gain insights into the diverse needs of people from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds
- better understand the importance of diversity and inclusion in the workplace
The training will be delivered by
CECILIA MILANI, Manager of Partners in Culturally Appropriate Care (PICAC NSW & ACT) has over 20 years’ experience in Human Resources (HR), having held numerous roles across various industry sectors, including banking, heavy industry, university education, mining and more recently aged care. Her broad background has provided her with extensive knowledge and understanding of how CALD communities fit into the larger political and social landscape. Cecilia holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA), Bachelor of Business in HRM, Diploma in HRM and a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment. She is responsible for change management initiatives and business transformations, and contributes to the delivery of various training programs and workshops.
ZELJKA CANKOVIC, Education and Training Coordinator, has been working with MCCI since 2018. Zeljka has worked in the Refugee Settlement Sector for 12 years where she gained valuable experience in working with CALD communities and services involved in clients’ settlement. She was also employed with Housing NSW as a Senior Client Service Officer Specialist. Apart from these roles, Zeljka has been employed with TAFE Community Services as a casual part-time teacher. She holds a Bachelor of Science Psychology and Certificate IV in Training and Assessment. She has been involved in delivering various cultural training programs/workshops.
